The following steps are generalizations, and will vary according to each vendor.

Step 1. Recieve a quote from vendor for the size, thickness, and details of the project.

Step 2. Approve the quote by signing off on it and returning by fax, mail, or email.

Step 3. Artist electronically transmits the artwork files- in the specified format - to the vendor wth attached quote number, layout proofs, and color proof document if required.

Step 4. Acknowledgement by fabricator that they can open and read the submitted artwork files.

Step 5. Payment or down payment. Most fabricators require some sort of financial compensation at this point before production begins.

Step 6. Artwork goes into the production queue. Usually it takes about six to eight weeks for fabrication and delivery.
