Owen Caddy has been producing interpretive illustrations, maps, and scientific illustrations for over twenty years. One of his chief pleasures is finding new ways to share nature with others, to craft an illustration, map or presentation that will suddenly make complex natural relationships clear. When such relationships are revealed, empathy and caring can follow.

He has worked as an Interpretive Specialist teaching adults and children about the environment, a Senior National Park Warden in East Africa, and for the MN Department of Natural Resources as a Rivers Specialist. Currently he lives with his wife and two children on their cruising sailboat Madrona based in Seattle.
